 Casting notes

My group and I think Evangeline is most appropriate for the role of the young girl in our music video as her enthusiasm and confidence will help her express her emotions deeply in video. Moreover, she will be able to express real love as we are also using her real boyfriend; we decided to do this as we felt it will enhance Evangeline’s performance majorly due by it avoiding the awkwardness of her pretending to be in love with someone other than her boyfriend. Evangeline has a cosy and comfortable presence  and she is very natural and emotional when appropriate which my group and I think is the essential ingredients to a fantastic music video.

Joe

Joe is a tall guy, which is an advantage for him to play the boyfriend role as the contrast of his height to Evangelines is well suited as she is 5'5 and he is about 6' He is appropriate for the role of the ex as he is not shy or ashamed to express emotions when needed; he is humble guy and is the boyfriend of Evangeline. This is effective because an instant connection can be formed from the two which will reflect very well on screen. Joe has a soft presence and distinctive facial expressions which is essential to help portray emotion from the two lovers. He feels comfortable around Evangeline which we feel will be effective as real love can be shown.

Lilly:
My group and I decided to choose Lilly to be part of our music video as we feel that her personality is most appropriate for the role of the ‘home wrecker’ as we are in need of someone with loads of energy and passion to be the person that Evangeline catches her boyfriend cheating with in the music video. We feel that Lilly will be the most appropriate girl for our music video as she is a drama student and is able to play different roles whilst remaining confident. Lilly has a confident
personality which will be portrayed effectively in our music video as her role requires a lot of effort.
